St. James’ Nursery School Happenings

It’s that Back-to School time of year, and St. James’ Nursery School is in full swing! The school started the year with an ice cream social. This gave the preschool children and parents a chance to meet each other as well as the Nursery School staff before classes started.

Classes began the week of September 8th. Already the 2’s classroom has enjoyed a pot luck at Watkins Park. The children have also had visits from the Book Mobile and the Mount Airy Fire Company. Yoga Sessions begin in October. And chapel time with Rev. Krantz has started as well.

There are several fun field trips planned for the fall. The 2’s will be going to Clark Elioak’s Farm. The 3’s will be headed to Gaver Farm, and the 4’s visit Summer Farm.

Church members may participate in the school’s “Charleston Wrap” fall fundraiser. Items that may be purchased include kitchen and home items, gourmet foods, personalized items, and magazines. The proceeds will go towards this year’s yoga classes. Orders may be placed in the Nursery School office or online (using school ID#9373) by October 9th.
