St. James’ Episcopal Church Sunday School

Sunday School has gotten off to a great start. At the first gathering our new rector, The Rev. Kristin Krantz, led the opening prayer and blessing of the children and teachers. It is always a delight to greet new students and to welcome back our “faithful regulars” (and to admire how much they have grown over the summer).

We had our first “4th Sunday Fun” activity with a getting-to-know-you game and a Bible scavenger hunt. These monthly group activities give all our students an opportunity to know one another bet-ter by having the older youth work with the younger children.

Some reminders…..
~ Please arrive on time.
~ A registration form is required for each student for teacher information.
~ If your child does not have a name tag lanyard to wear, please advise the teacher in order to have one made.
~ Attendance is taken weekly. At the end of year closing ceremony, all students receive a Certifi-cate of Attendance. Those attending 15-plus Sundays will also receive a star pin to be attached to their lanyard.

Hopefully you have had an opportunity to meet and chat with our Sunday School teachers (and thank them for their faithful commitment to the Sunday School ministry).
