The Mt. Airy Net food Pantry is dedicated to alleviating hunger, increasing awareness of the hunger problem in the Mt. Airy, Maryland community and providing an opportunity for volunteerism and community involvement.
The Net Food Pantry has formed a partnership with local organizations, schools, scouts, businesses, service groups, associations and churches to collect nonperishable food items, personal toiletry items, and some household items throughout the year.
The Net food Pantry solicits donations of canned and boxed foods and other items, collects and stores them at a central location, and then distributes them to people in our community who need the extra help to make ends meet.
An army of local volunteers help to pack the distribution bags so that each individual or family receives a fairly balanced array of food to meet their nutritional needs as well as other items that the Pantry has in stock.
