Faith

Hello, fellow pilgrims.  Last week I introduced you to our Camino’s third path: STEWARDSHIP.  This week I will introduce you to the fourth path we will be walking together as a community: FAITH.

COMMUNITY

STORY

STEWARDSHIP

FAITH

ADVOCACY

Pilgrimage is not just about reaching a destination; it is about the journey itself.  Along the journey, our faith is challenged and strengthened.  Through our faith, we build relationship with Christ and with one another. This building of relationship can lead to profound transformation and spiritual growth.  Pilgrimage is a testament to the enduring power of faith, love, and community.

Christ calls us to:

  • Engage in community life through worship.  (Acts 2:46-47)
  • Engage in community life through fellowship. (Heb 10:24-25)
  • Engage in community life through study. (2 Tim 3:16-17, Ps 119:105, Rom 15:4)
  • Engage in community life through service. (Ephesians 4:2)

Where do you see Christ at work in your life? In your community?  At St. James’?

Where do you see Christ at work through you?

As we travel along this path together, we will offer adult formation opportunities designed to facilitate communal learning and faith-building.  We will establish an accessible pathway to faithful and active discipleship.  Until then, consider these:

How are you actively engaged in the life of this church?

How are you actively engaged in service to this community and beyond?

How are you actively engaged in the study of scripture?

Remember:

Every pilgrim arrives by a different road, and we all converge at Christ.

You are Beautiful and you are Beloved.
