Story

Hello, fellow pilgrims.  Last week I introduced you to our Camino’s first path: COMMUNITY.  This week I will introduce you to the second path we will be walking together as a community: STORY.

COMMUNITY

STORY

STEWARDSHIP

FAITH

ADVOCACY

Last week I spoke of the opportunity Camino Circles will offer us to hear one another’s story.   Our stories identify who we are and why, and we all have one. Christ knows our stories and loves us through them.  But we don’t necessarily know one another’s.  It can be quite easy to misunderstand one another if we have no clue about each other’s context.  Story sharing offers an in-road to relationship-building and faithful connection.  It can be both unifying and edifying.  As we share our stories along The Way, we serve as witnesses for Christ and for one another, and we converge not only as disciples of Christ, but also as apostles sent out into the world as witnesses to others.  Camino Circles and shared ministries offer us accessible means to do just that—to share our stories and to come together for Christ and one another.

Along this second path of our camino together—STORY—we commit ourselves as a community to:

  • Sharing our faith stories with one another.
  • Learning and sharing the history of our parish.

I have spent the past (almost) two years learning people’s stories through one-to-one sessions. It has been a slow and intentional  process, and I am so grateful to now be a part of your story. You all are amazing and your stories are truly inspirational!  I am so excited for you to learn one another’s stories more fully.

Until then, remember:

Every pilgrim arrives by a different road, and we all converge at Christ.

You are Beautiful and you are Beloved.
