July Worship and Pastoral Care

While our service schedule will remain the same in July, we will be praying Morning Prayer rather than Holy Eucharist. Earlier this year we announced that Kristin’s  sabbatical, which was scheduled for 2021, would be postponed to 2022.  In order to build in some substantial time for her refreshment this year Kristin+ will take the whole month of July off for vacation and professional development.

Morning Prayer Officiant Schedule

  • July 11 – Annie Horrigan
  • July 18 – Blix Winston
  • July 25 – Peter Sabonis

During this time, Kristin+ will not be available to accept phone calls, emails, or text messages.  Arrangements have been made for pastoral care in her absence.  She will be kept informed of church happenings.  Please resist the urge to reach out to her as you normally would during this time.

If you have a pastoral need in July, contact senior warden Dave Rak.

ALLELUIA!!

We can be ‘on the road again’. Schools are out!  Vacations are in!  Warm weather and long days relax our routines a bit and we can enjoy some well deserved ‘time off’.

Which means…..it is time for the St. James’ Annual Summertime Reminder!!  Please try to keep your pledge up to date!  There is no ‘time off’ for those pesky invoices that ALWAYS seem to arrive right on time!

Thank you all…..and HAVE FUN!

  • If this service moves indoors due to inclement weather, it will be still be mask-optional except during singing – anyone who chooses to sing will be required to mask up for the hymns

Inclement Weather Announcements
This summer, our 10:30 service will be celebrated outdoors if the weather cooperates.  If the weather looks threatening, the 10:30 service will be held indoors.  when we decide to celebrate the 10:30 service indoors, we’ll post an announcement to our Facebook page by 8:00 am Sunday morning.  (In the past we sent an email on Saturday afternoon.  This new streamlined approach gets us out of the weather forecasting business – a little, anyways.)
