St. James’ Episcopal Church Sunday School

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS
9:30-10:15 a.m. lower level
Preschool through high school

We have gotten through the snows of January and the cold days of February and here it is March. What is in store for us? We give thanks for all our Sunday School parents who have transported their children to Sunday School each week……way to go! We love seeing the smiling faces of your children.
A is for Africa
It was a wonderful experience for our Sunday School classes to hear from Mary Anne and Rick Smith (our Mt. Airy ambassadors) about their January trip to Africa. The newly organized school library is now officially opened and in operation. During our recent Sunday School group activity, we saw pictures of the children enjoying the many books we provided. We give thanks for your contributions.
During Lent
As a reminder, there are a few more weeks remaining in Lent to further help our African school friends by placing coins in your “mite” boxes for presentation during Easter services. Please note and read Luke 21:2…..”I tell you the truth, the poor widow put in more than all the others” (a “mite” is the smallest and least Roman coin).
