HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We had a wonderful Christmas pageant with many Sunday School participants from preschool through high school, and parent helpers as well. We made a joyful noise with music and song. Thank you to Yvette Allen for (once again!) organizing the pageant and to all who made the beautiful story so meaningful on Christmas Eve. It was a joy to see so many of our former Sunday School students (home from college and college grads) at the late Christmas service. We are proud of them all! (Look for pictures to be posted on the lower level bulletin board).
We will be back to our regular class schedule on January 3rd. During the month we will be collecting items needed to complete the breakfast-in-a-bag outreach project to be distributed by the Shepherd’s Staff in Westminster. The following items will be needed by January 17th: Granola Bars, Juice Boxes, Fruit Cups, Napkins. During our group activity the students will decorate lunch bags and place the breakfast items in them for a quick breakfast snack for those in need. If you can help with any of the items listed, it would be appreciated.
The Sunday School classes use lots of craft supplies during the year. Your generous donations are extremely helpful. At the present time we are in need of: Scotch Tape, Masking Tape, Package tape (clear) – and staples and staplers (that open for bulletin board use).
For your enjoyment: Two of our Sunday School students, Kali and Connor Nanavaty, will be appearing in “Annie” at the Carroll Arts Center in Westminster. There are several shows on January 16th and 17th. Check it out: www.spotlightmusicalsmtairy.com.
