All members are encouraged to actively participate in some on-going form of Christian education.  Often the best way for adults to learn is to teach youngsters!

Adult Study currently meets each Sunday from 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. in the ed wing.  The Sunday Study has been a rewarding, learning experience for all  - Sharing of ideas related to the day's lessons has broadened the scriptural knowledge of all participants; the outreach presentations have enhanced our knowledge of some wonderful ministries; the book studies have given us a chance to expand and strengthen our faith.  Although some of us have a reasonable knowledge of scripture, there are no experts.  I view myself as a facilitator, rather than a teacher; participation by all is the essence of the Sunday Studies.  Contact Jon Fader.

Children's Formation meets during the 'school year' and begins at 9:30 a.m. promptly with a brief opening service in the Parish House.  The children then go to their individual classes: pre-school class (3-4 year olds), kindergarten - 1st grade class, 2nd - 3rd grade class, 4th - 5th grade class, a middle school class and a high school class.  Using the Episcopal Children's Curriculum (ECC) and Episcopal Youth Curriculum (EYC), our Sunday School year is divided into five terms.  Each term is 7 to 8 weeks long.  The curriculum, guides the weekly themes.  Children are encouraged to use 'hands on' in learning Bible stories and liturgical meaning through creative expression.  Adult assistance is always welcomed.  Parents are encouraged to take an active part.   Our Christian Education program is a success because of all the parents and grandparents who volunteer their time and talents for our wonderful youth.  Many thanks to all!

The Youth Group (grades 6-12) currently meets regularly on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.  We play interactive games, do some Bible study, talk and eat!  We have established norms of behavior for our meetings and have worked on building our relationships.  Our goals for the coming year will be to increase fund raising, to increase participation in Outreach opportunities and as always further our relationship with God.  We thank the vestry, the parish and especially the parents of the youth for their support of the youth group and its activities.

Contact Liz Peterson or Suzanne Bricker-Wiley if you are interested in participating.

Cursillo is an experience of Christian community by small groups of people meeting over a sustained period of time.  It begins with a weekend event (generally held in the fall and spring) and continues with small group gatherings for prayer, study and a deepening of faith.
Education for Ministry is a four-year program offering theological reflection and study of Scripture, Church History and Liturgy, and Theology using a curriculum developed by The School of Theology, University of the South (an Episcopal Seminary).  It has been specifically designed for lay persons to both lead and study.  Several groups are available in the area.  If you'd like more information, please talk with Rev. Portia.
The Journey is a nine month program for teens and adults considering Baptism, Confirmation, Reception into the church, Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows, or who wish to study and reflect on questions of faith.  It meets weekly during the 'school year'.  Participants study the Prayer Book, Bible reflection, church history and tradition, and liturgy.  There are ample opportunities to share doubts, questions, and revelations.  If you would like more information or are interested in participating in this program, contact Rev. Portia
